Kasindra to Ahmedabad: about 105 km
Ahmedabad is the nearest major city for airport, rail and hospitals. The commonly used route runs Ahmedabad → Sarkhej → Bavla → Dhandhuka → local roads to Kasindra. Expect 2 to 2.5 hours by car; traffic around Sarkhej and Bavla and single-carriageway stretches in the Bhal region are the main variables.
The planned Ahmedabad–Dholera Expressway (about 109 km, from Sarkhej to the Dholera SIR and onward) is the corridor designed to shorten Ahmedabad–Dholera travel. Because Kasindra sits roughly 15–20 km from the expressway on-ramp area by local estimates, the saving depends on where you join and exit. Check the current opening status and your exact entry/exit point before planning around it.
Kasindra to Bavla: about 67 km
Bavla is a taluka town on the Ahmedabad–Bhal approach, roughly 35–38 km west of Ahmedabad, and a natural halfway stop on the Ahmedabad–Dholera journey. Road distance to Kasindra is about 67 km (around 1 hr 15 min–1 hr 30 min). Public buses run between Bavla and Dholera (about 67–68 km, roughly 1 hr 45 min–2 hrs), which is useful for buyers who prefer not to drive.
Important: two villages called Kasindra
There is also a Kasindra in Daskroi taluka on the Sarkhej–Bavla highway, only about 15–20 km from Bavla. Some map tools return that one, which is why you may see a "20 km" Bavla distance online. The Kasindra relevant to Dholera Estates 1 is the one in Dhandhuka/Dholera area, so search for "Kasindra, Dhandhuka, Ahmedabad district, Gujarat (382465)".
Kasindra to Dholera: about 10–11 km
Dholera village, the heart of the SIR Activation Area, is about 10–11 km from Kasindra by road, or 15–20 minutes. Kasindra shares a boundary with the Dholera SIR but lies outside it, so the SIR Activation Area itself is farther than Dholera village. Route options compared
- Own car or cab from Ahmedabad: most flexible; 2–2.5 hours, best for group site visits.
- Bus to Dholera/Dhandhuka + local taxi: GSRTC and private buses serve Bavla–Dholera and Ahmedabad–Dhandhuka; plan a local cab for the last leg to Kasindra.
- Rail to Bavla or Dholka, then road: Bavla and Dholka are on the Ahmedabad–Dhandhuka rail line; Dhandhuka also has a station. Services are limited, so check timetables.
- Fly into Ahmedabad (SVPI Airport): the usual entry point for outstation and NRI buyers, followed by a road transfer.

- Start from Ahmedabad before 8 AM to avoid Sarkhej congestion and reach with daylight to spare.
- Share the exact village name and PIN with your driver to avoid the Daskroi Kasindra.
- Network can be patchy on internal roads; download offline maps.

- Carry water and fuel; services thin out between Bavla and Dhandhuka.
